Quizbase - AI Quiz Generation For All

Background
Teachers are the bedrock of tomorrows generation. They inform and enculturate our students to be all that they are meant to be. Scholarshelf's mission is to support teachers in this vital work by providing them the tools and strategies necessary to accomplish this.
Solution
Quizbase is an AI assessment tool that allows teachers to create quizzes, exams, and tests using their preexisting materials such as worksheets, lesson plans, and presentations. Quizbase uses AI to analyze your materials and generate questions that are aligned to your grade level, subject area, and learning objectives. It can align to your school's curriculum standards, making it easy to create assessments that are relevant and meaningful to your students.
Details
I am going to take you through a tour of the program. Click here to view the original document.
If you are a teacher and principal and don't yet have access to the program, send us an email at quizbase@scholarshelf.org.
Once you log into the platform, you will be presented with your class & test dashboard. We're going to start by creating a new class using the "Create Class" button beside "Your Classes." You might already have a class through onboarding. If you see a class under "Your Classes," go ahead and skip this step!
Once you have clicked the "Create Class" button, Quizbase asks you some information about your course, such as the title, the grade, and some initial information about you first unit. For instance, as a social studies teacher, this might be:
Above all, remember, you will be able to edit this later.
Once you create the course, you can go ahead and click on it on the main menu. Once you've entered it, you'll see the heartbeat of Quizbase- the class editor. As you can see, Quizbase wants you to add material before you do anything else. Go ahead and click on the "Add Material" button.
It will ask you to drag and drop some materials. You can either click on the box, or drag from your File Explorer. I am going to put our unit plan for this unit which lasts for the next 2 weeks. Quizbase works better the more materials you add, but works just fine with your detailed unit plans.
Clicking "Upload File" will upload the file to our systems, allowing us to use it in our AI magic to generate an assessment for you! Now we see a "✨ Generate Test" button. Let's go ahead and click that colorful button to generate our test.
Now we are presented with a screen that allows us to customize our test. I just want a standard 10 question test. This will generate a test with 4 multiple choice (select one), 4 multiple select (select many), and 2 essay questions. You can customize this through the "Advanced Settings" button.
We'll now see a loading page. This may take a while! We're trying to get it all correct for you. Please note that AI does make mistakes! Always make sure to review a test before printing it.
Once finished, you will see the "Quiz" page. Here you can review, change the answers, and change the order of questions. This one looks good to me, so we're going to go ahead and click "Print Preview."
On this page we can see our assessment as it will look on a piece of paper. This is what it will look like from the students point of view. We can change the # of lines for our essay questions, and then print the test once we are ready. We can also click back on the test name to edit something if we think it needs to be changed.
Once we have printed our test, we're ready to give it out to our students!
Thank you for using Quizbase. We're thrilled to have you use our platform, and look forward to your feedback. We genuinely hope this tool helps to have more impact in your classroom.
There are many new features in the works (automatic AI grading and instant feedback for students, anyone?), and we'd love to have your feedback. Please send us feature requests, questions, or any other feedback to quizbase@scholarshelf.org.
